04 Dec Everything you need to know about Quad9
Introducing Quad9 a new security solution free from the cloud!
Quad9 – What is it?
Quad9 is a free online service was launched with the intention of bolstering IT security for all.
The service is designed by IBM, Packet Clearing House and the Global Cyber Alliance and best of all – it’s free for all and globally accessible and is designed to offer an additional layer of filtering to your Web Browsing.
How does it Work?
Quad9 routes your DNS queries through a secure network of servers around the globe. The system uses threat
intelligence from more than a dozen of the industry’s leading cyber security companies, to give a real-time
perspective on what websites are safe, and what sites are known to include malware or other threats. If the
system detects that the site you want to reach is known to be infected, you’ll automatically be blocked from entry
– keeping your data and computer safe.
Aren’t I already protected?
If you’re an Otium Tech client, to an extent – yes, Webroot AV and it’s Web Filtering uses the BrightCloud system in a similar way but websites are vulnerable and will continually be hacked and no single service will protect you from all threats.
Those who are interested in leveraging this service (and it should be all of you) should contact Otium Technology to find out how we can help implement this system into your business.
The change is quick, seamless and inexpensive so why wait?
